Puppy Selection: The puppies are with us until they are 8 to 10 weeks of age. I make the selection of which puppy goes to which family after many hours observing the puppies and listening you when we are talking... Some things are so subtle... This process can not be rushed... Raising puppies is such a labor of love for us.... we want to do the very best job possible. ~~~~ |

We ship out of Denver International Airport (DIA) Using Continental's Pet Program and Alaska Airlines (I prefer not to use other carriers but will try to accomodate your travel requests. If you are flying with your puppy he/she may fly at 8 weeks. However.... I prefer not to ship your puppy alone before 10 weeks of age. The puppy's well being is our first concern. Puppies typically go through a fear period around 9 weeks of age. By 10 weeks they can handle just about anything that comes their way... Although I do my very best to ship your puppy on a direct flight ... sometimes it isn't possible. A 10 week old puppy can handle this... a younger one isn't emotionally ready. (Just think... your puppy will be well on his/her way to being house broken and crate trained!! Woo Hoo... less work for you by the 10 week mark!) Airline Charge is between $250 and $295* *With the fuel prices fluctuation... this is an estimated charge... It could be more or less at the time of booking the flight. ** I try to find used "Like New" crates for shipping.. usually around $45, however, some times I do have to buy them retail and can be as much as $65 to get a crate that conforms to the new Airline Regulations. So these prices are "more or less" also. There is also a Special Health Certificate that is necessary for the puppy to fly. Our Vet charges $45 for this Certificate in addition to the Exam fee. (The vet we had for 20 years didn't charge me for these... but since he retired... I'm finding a lot of things have changed!) :-) |
